and Toasted Sesame Seeds
Yield: 16 Servings
Ingredients- 1 1/2 pounds snow peas, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions1. In a dry skillet spread the sesame seeds over medium heat. Toast, tossing frequently, until golden. Remove from the heat.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the peas for about 1 minute. Drain and immediately plunge into iced water. Drain and pat dry.
3. Just before serving, in a large skillet heat the oil over medium-high heat. Briefly sauté the snow peas, until crisp but heated through. Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with the toasted seeds and serve immediately.
