| Sherry NahidI met Sherry many years ago when she was working for a florist I often used in Los Angeles. As with every great talent, there comes a time when they need to break out on their own, and when Sherry started her own floral design business, I immediately supported her decision. We’ve since worked on projects around the world. Each time I’m on the job site with her, whether it’s a wedding celebration, a corporate event or just a small dinner party, her talents always impress me. She’s a dedicated designer, an artist, and she understands the importance of production and timing. She’s a pleasure to have around; nothing is ever too much problem and her work is impeccable. She gives 120% of herself, always. And as I say time and again, it’s that extra 20% that I call passion that makes the difference in something being ordinary versus extraordinary.
Tips from Sherry
- Floral arrangements are a great way to add instant flair and give life to any setting. Fresh flowers in a room could really change the mood.
- By having interesting vases around the house, all you need is a couple of stems of seasonal flowers to complement it.
- Use orchid plants in the winter months, especially if you are living in a colder environment. Orchids are much more durable to the warmer temperatures from the heaters and tend to last longer than any other fresh flowers.
- If you have a yard, mix in a few fresh cut greens or branches as fillers in your arrangements.
- It is always more refreshing to see something different, so make sure to use your own touch when arranging flowers to give it that uniqueness.
