| Kimberly LightKim Light has been in the art world since we first met many years ago in Los Angeles. I remember getting a call from her assistant asking me to meet with her at her gallery on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. Her gallery was one of the first to recognize and showcase new and emerging artists from around the world. Kim was getting married, and as fate would have it, I was hired to design her wedding. After a few minutes of chatting with her at our first meeting, we made a plan to spend time together in Newport Beach where the wedding was to take place. I told her I'd pick her up the next morning. "Where do you live?" I asked, to which she replied, “Hancock Park,” which I knew only too well. We were neighbors one floor from each other. It was fate. I can’t tell you how excited I was to meet her, and vice versa. I would plan her wedding and she would help me create my art collection. Since that first encounter, we've worked together many times; she loves to throw a party, and what can I say, no one loves a party more than I do. I've introduced her to all my clients looking for art, and aside from her knowledge of art, whose collecting which artists, and whose star is rising,
she has the unique talent of being able to help collectors refine their vision, balance their collections, and create collections that are personal and have meaning. She's collaborated with me on residential and hotel design projects, and each time I have the pleasure of working with her, I admire her
more.
Tips from Kim.

- Establish great relationships with gallery owners. This will only serve you.
- Attend as many art fairs as you can.
