Brian Boye

Brian Boye

Men's Health Fashion and Grooming Director

Brian Boye directs the fashion and grooming editorial coverage for Men's Health, the flagship publication of the largest men's magazine brand in the world. Through eye-catching fashion visuals and grooming features, he brings a new perspective on looking good each month to 10 million men who want to combine good health with great style.

The emphasis is on real clothing and advice for real guys.
“The majority of men aren't looking to make a dramatic style statement with their clothing choices,” Boye says. “Most guys want to be on-trend without being trendy.” But sorting through all the fashion messages can be confusing. “At Men's Health we provide our readers with an understanding of what makes an outfit work, and how to add on to great, classic basics to keep your look updated and modern.”

More importantly, he adds, is the understanding that great style involves more than shirts and pants. "It's how you present yourself to the world. It may start with the way you look," he says, "but it extends to how you treat others, and the way in which you move through the world."

The fashion and grooming features in Men's Health are made up of two critical components: service and style. These elements are brought to life with imagery from some of the world's best photographers. Models, actors, musical artists and athletes help convey how great style can improve one's life, sharing their personal stories on how looking good has helped them achieve their goals.
In the past few years, Boye has styled a wide range of performers, including “Grey's Anatomy” stars Patrick Dempsey and Justin Chambers, Hugh Jackman, Usher, Adrian Brody, James Franco, Andre 3000, Indianapolis Colt's MVP Peyton Manning, Joseph Fiennes, Ryan Reynolds, NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson, “Lost” star Josh Holloway and Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

Boye represents the publication at the European and American designer collections and trade shows. Since joining the publication in 2000, he has been responsible for more than tripling the fashion and grooming editorial pages.

In addition to regular monthly features, the magazine also publishes a twice-yearly “Guide to Style” in March and September, which highlights the best styles, grooming products and trends of the season. The Men's Health Grooming Awards are published every May, featuring the best new men's products of the year.

Boye was formerly fashion director of Daily News Record, the influential men's wear trade magazine. Prior to that, he served as editor-in-chief of Beverly Hills 213 magazine.

He has appeared on local and national television shows to discuss grooming and fashion trends, including CNN, NBC, FOX, CBS and ABC and is a voting member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the Fragrance Foundation. Boye holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas and resides in Manhattan. He is based in Rodale's New York offices.

Men's Health is published 10 times a year by Rodale. With a circulation of 1.8 million, the magazine provides readers with the latest information on health, fitness, nutrition and lifestyle.
